My Sister's Keeper review

I got some preview tickets and went to see My Sisters Keeper last night and all i can say is omg take tissues.

Its based on the book by Jodi Picoult, which alot of you may have read, but the film is slightly different. It stars Cameron Diaz who is absolutely amazing in it. Its nice to see her playing a different type of character and she does it so well. Her co- stars are equally wonderful.

Abigail Breslin stars as Anna, a 13-year-old girl who was conceived by IVF in order to be a genetic match for her older sister, Kate, who has battled leukemia since childhood. Despite being a normal, healthy child, Anna has undergone countless surgeries, transfusions and injections for the sake of her sister's health. Now, when she must forgo the opportunity to go to a prestigious hockey camp in order to donate a kidney to her sister who has gone into renal failure, Anna decides that enough is enough and sues her parents for medical emancipation.

I literally have never cried so much watching a film, I'm taking this as a good sign haha. The performances and plot are amazing. I will definitely be buying the DVD. Amazing, Lou xx

  1. I will definitely wait for the dvd with this one.

I'm terrible with sad films. When I watch The Notebook I cry from about 5 minutes in to the very end and then carry on crying when it has finished! lol.

I have embarrassed myself at the cinema wayyy too many times. xx

  2. Thats what this is like, ongoing crying. i felt so embarrassed. The woman next to be said she could feel me shaking lol.
I still havent seen the notebook. Ive read the book though and that made me weep lol. MSK and the Notebook are both directed by the same person. Maybe thats the reason for the sob fest lol xx

  3. Oh yeah, I didn't notice that! Defo defo not going to see it now :)

I'm saving Marley & Me for dvd, and struggling to read the book at the moment coz it is making me cry constantly! And I'm not even near the end yet... I just know it's coming!

  4. Ive seen Marley and me but id say My sisters keeper is 100% worse. Maybe its best if you wait for dvd haha xx

  5. Oh god I think I'm going to have to wait for this to come out on DVD too. I look like such a wreck when I cry and I cry at everything. Have you seen PS. I love you? I cried from start to finish. My boyfriend had to ask if I wanted to turn it off because I was crying so much!!

  6. yeah ps i love you is so sad, but still think My sisters keeper is worse, you girls are in for a treat haha xx

  7. P.S.I Love You had me roaring with tears for hours. From the start!

OMG I am soo not seeing My Sisters Keeper at the cinema. It's a dvd on my own sort of thing.

Thanks for the warning ;) xxx

  8. I really want to see it! The Notebook is the only film that makes me sob like hell, I'm guessing this is going to change that!

  9. Oh going to see this tonight! I'm useless with sad films! eeek xxx
